Platonic solids at vismath
Film: MESH
This animated feature film takes you on a ride into the world of discretization and its history. Nine entertaining chapters take you on a ride through the development of discrete geometry and its everyday applications.
Besides explaining these methods, “MESH” itself was created using modern computer graphic.
Platonic Solids
Using this ITSPHUN-kit one can build all five platonic solids: Icosahedron, Dodecahedron, Octahedron, Cube and Tetrahedron. The pieces can also be used to make up any other forms you like!
The ITSPHUN polygons can easily be transformed into different 3D polyhedra. The faces are made from ecofriendly PP-material and they can be connected using the notches on every edge.
Zometool: Green Lines
With the green struts, which were introduced to the Zometool universe at a later date, you can now build accurate octahedrons and tetrahedrons. These struts end with pentagons and thus belong in the same openings of the Zometool node as the red struts. Learn more...
