Using the Match Learner game of pairs children can practice Addition in the number range up to 50. Suitable for children age 6 and above.
This box contains 100 tiles with different addition problems, e.g. 7 + 12. To find a match one has to find another tile showing the same result so for example 13 + 6.
The Addition memory covers Addition in the number range up to 50.
Game Varieties
There are three ways to play the game using the Addition tiles:
Variety 1: Match
How many Matches can you get? Place all tiles face-up on a table. All players start collecting Matches at the same time. The player with the most Matches in the end wins.
This game advances mathematical skills as well as memory building.
Variety 2: 100 (2 to 6 players)
Starting with all tiles face-up again every player collects Matches again. This time, every result of a Match is added up. Whoever reaches 100 in total first, wins this round.
Variety 3: QuickBrain (3+ players)
One of the players is chosen as reader. The reader selects one tile at random and reads out the arithmetic problem. All the other players try to find the correct answer. Whoever says the right result out loud first is the winner of this round. The role of reader moves on.
Special Advice: To get started one can remove all tiles resulting in numbers higher than 25.
To create a more complex game combine Match Learner Addition with other Match Learner Sets for Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication. Mixing all tiles gives more ways to create the same number and shows the connection between the different arithmetic operations.
